Although not universally standardized, breeders generally agree on what are medium-sized dogs (about 16”-24” inches tall and 25-50 lbs.) Most are working dogs, bred for energetic jobs like herding or hunting. They need vigorous exercise. Consideration should be given to the very strong, like Huskies, that pull during walks and the very smart that especially need training to prevent mischief. Usually, they need less food and water and they’re generally cool off more easily.
