Alligators and Crocodiles
Page 1 (American Alligator - Crocodile)
|
Native only to US and China, alligators possess wider heads and jaws, darker coloring, and concealed lower teeth by the upper mouth than crocodiles. Pet alligators are nouveau. Before purchase, consider regulations and care—space, temperature, food (live animals,) primitive nature, and maturation size. Examine them for injuries, smooth parasite-free bellies, fungus-free skin, clean fully open eyes, plump neck and tail bases, inflammation-free throat, and alertness. Most alligators (caimans too) often don’t reach maturity; ownership becomes too difficult.
